Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Just Airport Taxi website and services. These Terms govern your access to and use of our website, online booking services, and airport transfer services. By using our website or booking our services, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree with any of these Terms, please refrain from using our website and services.

1. Booking and Payment

1.1. Booking Confirmation: All bookings made through our website or customer service channels are subject to availability and confirmation. We reserve the right to accept or decline any booking request at our discretion.

1.2. Accuracy of Information: You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when making a booking, including your name, contact details, flight information, and payment details. Any errors or omissions in the information provided may result in delays or additional charges.

1.3. Payment: Payment for our services must be made in full at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed upon. We accept payment by credit/debit card or other approved payment methods. All prices are quoted in the applicable currency and may be subject to additional taxes or fees as required by law.

2. Airport Transfers

2.1. Pick-up and Drop-off: It is your responsibility to ensure that you are ready for pick-up at the agreed time and location. Similarly, we will drop you off at the designated destination according to the information provided during booking. Any delays or changes to the pick-up or drop-off location must be communicated to us promptly.

2.2. Flight Delays and Cancellations: We monitor flight schedules to adjust our services accordingly. However, it is your responsibility to inform us of any changes or delays to your flight. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such changes but cannot guarantee availability or avoid additional charges if notified at short notice.

3. Change of Plans

If there are any changes to your plans, it is your responsibility to inform our office. This includes:

  • Flight cancellations
  • Flight rescheduling

We will arrange your pickup accordingly. Please note:

  • Any deviation in the pickup or drop-off location will result in a change of fare based on the new locations.
  • If your flight is cancelled and you fail to inform us, no refund will be provided.
  • If your flight is cancelled and you inform us within 12 hours of the scheduled pickup time, a charge of 50% of the booking price will apply.

We understand that flight cancellations are unfortunate and not the customer's fault. However, drivers are engaged specifically for your pickup, and they may forgo other commitments and income for the journey. To fairly accommodate the driver, 50% of the booking price will be retained in these cases.

  • If a change in the pickup time is required less than 12 hours before the scheduled pickup, the request must be made over the phone.
  • We retain the right to decline the change or cancel the booking with no refunds in such cases.
  • We will make every effort to accommodate last-minute pickup time change requests, but due to pre-booked jobs, it may not always be possible.

4. Luggage

Please note that luggage capacity for each vehicle is displayed during the booking process. It is your responsibility to ensure your luggage complies with the specified limits. Oversized or excessive luggage may require additional arrangements or incur extra charges, which will be communicated to you in advance.

Any luggage exceeding these specified limits below cannot be accommodated and will remain the sole responsibility of the passenger.

  • 1 medium-sized suitcase (checked luggage):
    • Total dimensions (height + width) must not exceed 158 cm (62 inches).
    • Maximum weight: 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • 1 hand luggage (carry-on):
    • Dimensions: approximately 56 cm (height) x 45 cm (width) x 25 cm (depth) (22 x 17.5 x 9.85 inches).

5. Cancellation and Refunds

If a booking is canceled less than 12 hours before the scheduled pick-up time, a cancellation fee will be applied, which depends on when we receive notice:

  • Cancellations made prior to the 12-hour mark before the scheduled pick-up time incur no charges, but a bank fee applies to all refundable bookings. The specific bank fee amount may vary depending on the total booking value.
  • Cancellations made between 12 to 6 hours before the scheduled pick-up time will result in a 50% charge of the total journey price.
  • Cancellations made within 6 hours of the pick-up time will result in a charge equivalent to 100% of the journey price.

No refunds will be issued if a passenger cannot be reached at the time of pick-up.

Once a driver has been dispatched or is en route for the pick-up, no refunds will be provided.

All cancellations must be made via phone or by responding to the reservation confirmation email.

If a refund is required for a payment made to Just Airport Taxis, it will be credited back to the original payment card used, whether it's a credit or debit card. Please note that a bank fee, starting at a minimum of £5, will be applied to refundable bookings. The exact fee may vary depending on the total booking amount.

Please note that the refund process typically takes between 3 to 5 working days from when our team initiates the refund. However, the exact duration may vary depending on your bank's processing timeline.

To ensure smooth communication and avoid any issues during the pickup time, we kindly ask you to provide the contact details of the actual passenger who will be traveling. This will assist us in reaching the correct person and prevent any difficulties in contacting the individual making the booking on their behalf.

6. Waiting Time

We provide an additional 10 minutes of free waiting time after the scheduled pick-up time once a flight has landed. (Free waiting time is only applicable for airport pickups.) After this, a charge of £10 per 30 minutes will apply.

Additionally, if a customer is ready before their scheduled pick-up time, we cannot guarantee an early pickup. Your pickup will occur according to the scheduled pick-up time you selected during the booking process. However, we will make every effort to pick you up earlier if your already assigned driver is available.

7. Child Seat

We provide a free child seat if requested by the customer. While we make every effort to provide the child seat, we cannot guarantee its suitability or availability for your journey.

Child Car Seats: The UK Law

In most cases, children under 3 must always be in a child car seat. However, the rules differ depending on the type of vehicle and the circumstances of the journey:

When a Child Can Travel Without a Car Seat

  • A child aged 3 or older can travel in a back seat without a child car seat and without a seat belt if the vehicle doesn’t have one.
  • A child under 3 must always use a child car seat in most cases.

Exceptions to the Rule

The rules are different if:

  • The child is in a taxi or minicab (private hire vehicle).
  • The child is in a minibus, coach, or van.
  • The child is on an unexpected journey, such as an emergency.
  • There’s no room for another car seat in the vehicle.

Taxis and Minicabs (Private Hire Vehicles)

If the driver doesn’t provide the correct child car seat, children can travel without one, but only if they:

  • Travel on a rear seat.
  • Wear an adult seat belt if they’re 3 or older.
  • Travel without a seat belt if they’re under 3.

Minibuses, Coaches, and Vans

Minibus or coach drivers and companies are not required to provide child car seats. You must provide your own if you want to ensure a child has one.

Vans

The rules for vans are the same as for cars.

8. Fouling Policy

Any fouling of the Private Hire Vehicle by a passenger will result in a minimum charge of £30.00, depending on the severity of the incident. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Vomit or any other substance requiring cleaning of the car.
  • Spillage of food or drink causing damage or mess.

The exact charge will be determined based on the severity of the fouling and the cleaning required. Please ensure that the vehicle is kept in a clean and respectable condition during your journey.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1. Our Liability: While we strive to provide a reliable and comfortable service, we shall not be liable for any delays, losses, damages, or inconveniences arising from factors beyond our control, including but not limited to traffic conditions, accidents, adverse weather conditions, or force majeure events.

9.2. Indirect and Consequential Damages: In no event shall Just Airport Taxi be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with our services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Just Airport Taxi operates. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in that jurisdiction.

11. Amendments

We reserve the right to modify or amend these Terms at any time, without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our website and services after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
